TL;DR : The goal of this project was to design an augmented reality (AR) filter that not only captivated a diverse global audience but also demonstrated the tangible value of AR for a business’s social media strategy. By combining technical innovation with thoughtful, user-centric design, the project aimed to create an engaging experience that aligned with both user expectations and business objectives.
The primary challenge was to design an AR filter that not only performed seamlessly across a wide range of devices, including lower-end smartphones, but also demonstrated its value as a business asset on social media. Achieving this required balancing lightweight technical optimization with engaging, shareable design elements that would drive measurable results like impressions, shares, and brand visibility, while appealing to a youthful and culturally diverse global audience.
